Do follower counts influence the Instagram algorithm anymore?

With all the changes to the algorithm, I’m not sure how much follower count even matters now. I see tiny accounts getting viral reels and huge accounts getting barely any engagement. So does the number of followers still have weight when it comes to visibility?
