Facebook Not Displaying GIFs

The last few GIFs I've created don't display on Facebook. In the Facebook debugger it shows either, "Error parsing input URL, no data was cached, or no data was scraped," OR "Could not retrieve data from URL."

Sean thanks for passing this along. Will look into now and see what'sup.

Could I ask are you posting the gifs.com url or j.gifs.com?

Many thanks,
rory

Hi Sean! Thank you for reporting this.
There is a delay from when you create the gif and when it can be put on facebook. We have a background job that makes the videos facebook accessible. If you send me the links I can double check to make sure that's the issue and not something more substantial. Also, I'll move this along to get rid of that delay so you won't have this issue again!

Thanks again!

Kieran

Thanks for all the attention. So it appears that the problem mostly appears with uploaded GIFs vs. YouTube GIFs. The uploaded ones don't contain ANY data for the Facebook scrubber – and that's after several days of waiting for the background job to complete. I recreated a GIF by uploading the video to YouTube, importing that link into gifs.com, and it worked fine. I believe all GIFs were using the j.gifs.com URL.
